PstExporter

This is a software tool that can convert details from Outlook to Mac compatible formats.

PstExporter is a very easy to use Mac application that exports messages, contacts and calendars from Outlook PST files to your Mac. PstExporter is a Mac OS X application that exports messages contained in Microsoft Outlook PST files to the common mbox format. The program works with Apple Mail, Entourage(MS application) and Thunderbird (a free source one). Contacts are exported as vCards. The data then can get into the system`s Address Book. Appointments data goes directly into iCal. The program is a batch processor and thus will let you convert multiple PST files. The program is a standalone one and does not need the Microsoft Outlook or Windows installed on the Mac. The program supplies help on how to set this up for different mail clients mentioned above. The tool works with Mac OS X 10.5.7 and higher.

The PST files that may be protected with a password do not pose a problem with the program. It manages the conversion, even if the password has been lost by the owner. This conversion to MBOX format does not alter the original messages in any way. Plus, minus controls let you create a list that is the candidate for conversion. Each entry has a checkbox that you can use to select specific files to be converted. All that is left to be done is to choose a destination file and start the conversion. Logs will have been a nice addition to the program.
